John 6.1 - Sea of Galilee

In the New Testament, the Sea of Tiberias is also known as the Sea of Galilee, also, aka, the Sea of Chinnereth in the Old Testament.

In many places of the NT Gospels, this is the sea that JESUS taught at, fished at, and worked miracles at, some of which can be seen in John 6.

I'm sure that there is a connection to why the LORD spent so much time in Galilee and near/on that sea. He taught great spiritual truths near and on the sea, each and every one of them pointing that HE is the SON OF GOD, the MESSIAH the OT Jews were looking forward to, that HE is from GOD and not from man.

3 Of My Favorite Scripture Verses!

From John 11

25

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26

And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

27

She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

Why these three?  It is the gospel, the good news to us Gentiles, put plainly by JESUS CHRIST, HIMSELF. By the way, my response is the same as Martha's in verse 27!
